What happen to Fluffy?

I am almost never amazed at the stupidity of people. People these days just don't think!
Maybe I'm just becoming a grumpy old man, but stupid people frustrate me.

For example: The guy I called yesterday for tech support.
Me: "The card isn't working."
Him: "Why don't you just bring it into the shop when you come back here."
Me: "Why would I be coming back there?"
Him: "I thought you worked for us and were just calling for my help."
Uh?

However, on our recent trip to FL, Jess and I experienced a new level of stuipidity I never thought possible. It got our attention because as we were getting our stuff off the conveyer belt at the security checkpoint and the lady doing the x-ray machine started yelling. "Who's bag is this?" Who's bag is this?" Of course that got our attention. Some lady piped up, "it's mine". We were still kinda nervous until the x-ray lady said, "Miss, You can't send your dog through the x-ray machine!"

Daddy and his little girl

We all knew that Jon would be a very doting father, but I was amazed how soon that it began. As soon as he gets home from work, he comes straight to my stomach and wants to know how his "baby girl" is doing. I tease him that I used to be his "baby girl." So he says that now he has two.

Jess at 30 Weeks

Everyone is saying that I'm getting bigger every week, so we decided to take weekly pictures. We went to the doctor this week and everything is on track. She is very active and still likes to tease her daddy. I'm thinking her middle name is going to be Diva!

Us Together

Since I have begun working Jon and I seldom have time together. We miss those times together, so the other night when we actually had some time with each other we captured the moment.

Jess at 29 Weeks

What is there to say? I'm getting bigger and hopefully she is not getting too big!

Raking Leaves in January

Although it is very weird for us and all of our northern friends we have just begun to rake the leaves in our yard. The leaves here don't begin to start falling until early December. Believe it or not, in all the places that we have lived, we have never had a yard that had enough trees to rake leaves. Jon was very proud of his work and believe me I heard about his aching muscles for a week! These are the leaves of about 1\4 of our yard. Needless to say he still has a way to go.

Church Stuff

So. . .
I was reconnecting with my long lost buddy Mike today (Hi Mike, I'll email you back soon) and a couple things suddenly occurred to me.

First, I have never blogged about something other than the baby girl. (Who's name I just typed then erased - Ha Ha Ha)
B. I should show off the cool equipment I get to work with everyday.

So here goes, BTW unless you are a little technical minded save yourself some time and don't read this. You wouldn't get it anyway.
We will begin in the main worship center

The sound board in the sanctuary (40 channel 8 bus)
the recording board and the pc it records to
View of the stage and new lighting
wide shot of the light board
the knobs controll the movers (very cool)
video switcher and remote for the camera's
the 2 IMAG computers (power point)
shot of sound booth

now we will move to the childrens auditorium - this was completed in the summer and is where I spend most of my time.

digital sound board
a close up of the channels (no aux or eq on the channel)
A close up of the "controls" just select a channel and then turn the aux / eq etc you want
a shot of the HD projector (this doesn't do it justice - it's about 5 times the size of that normal projector next to it)
a wide shot of the patch panal (no crawling under the booth! :-)
xlr patch cables are really nice ( boooo 1/4)
this is the video in the control room
IMAG with controls for hearing house sound
Matrin 650 wash's
here is a couple pics of the "kid stuf" stage. this is used every wed night for a service with kids and parents together. On sunday there is a curtain that closes right in front of it and provides a nice black background.

Ta da! Hope you enjoyed it. Please direct all questions to my agent.

l8r,
Jonathan
