Birth Day!

Friday my doctor decided that I had suffered enough and decided to induce me on Tuesday. I go in at 7:30 a.m. We will try to get pictures up as soon as possible.

Yes, we know that she is going to be an April Fool's baby, but you'll never forget her birthday, right?!

37 Weeks!!! Is she ever going to get here?

The Finished Product!

We finally got the room done! Well, at least most of the way. Thanks to Jon's mom, Paula and Barb for buying our crib. I'm sure the baby will spend lots of time in it!

The baby's name will go above the crib, but of course we took it down for the pictures!

The rocking chair. You know me and my craziness. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted so I bought a used one and spray painted it black and recovered the cushions!

The changing table will go along this wall. I'm planning on putting black and white pictures of the baby on the wall when she gets here.

The Baby's Room

Jon thought that the baby's room needed to be special for his little girl. So he decided to paint stripes on her walls. I knew that it would be a lot of work, but you know how daddys are with their little girls!!! So he painstakingly taped off all of the stripes and painted them.
I added some girly elements withe the flowers.

Jon spent hours taping and painting her room. Nothing is too good for his little girl!

The Ocean

Of course, I couldn't blog without putting a picture of the ocean up. This is for all my friends and family who are suffering through the snow and ice. Having a great time, wish you were here!

My Dearest Ashley

Ashley was generous to share her baby clothes with me. Here is just a small sample of what she sent. Thanks to Addison for letting her borrow them! I can't say enough thanks to Ashley and all the help that she has been to me. I wish we lived closer to her and Shane, but maybe God has that in our future. Love ya, Ashley!

A little side note-- Ashley's compassion for others has rubbed off on her children. Sam was worried about me yesterday, so last night he called me just to make sure that I was feeling fine and was wondering if the baby had come out yet.

Gifts for the baby!

Ashley orgainized a "shower by mail" for me. She contacted my family and Jon's family. She's just amazing. Any way here is the quilt that my mother made for the baby. It also has a little pillow with it. The quilt is gorgeous and goes with the colors in her bedroom. Thanks mom! I'm sure that she will love it.

36 Weeks

I know, I know, I'm HUGE!!!! It's not me, It's her. LOL I only gained one pound in the last month, she is the one getting big! Hopefully she will come soon. I'm done carrying her around in my belly, I'm ready to have her in my arms!!! I only have 3 1/2 weeks left, I hope. The midwife told me on Monday that they would only let me go a week over my due date. That gave me hope that there is an end in sight.
